The contributions of Fidel Castro and Armando Hart to the construction of the Cuban Revolution focused the tribute of the José Martí Cultural Society in Guantanamo to these personalities, on occasion of their anniversaries of death -7 and 6, respectively- and as part of a day of tribute along with other entities in the province, during the month of November.
The event took place at the Guayo Cultural Center, belonging to the Caribbean District of the Guantanamo City, a scene attended by a hundred representatives of artistic, educational, health, political, commerce, unions, media and other institutions with the humanist work of “Martí’s best disciple.”
Eduardo Ramírez García, vice president of the provincial branch of the Cultural Society, visibly moved, recognized the loyalty of the Commander in Chief to the Cuban people and the liberating causes of the world, as well as his unwavering attitude in the face of threats from imperialist governments, since the exercise of popular consultation and scientific development.
The also member of the Provincial Comptroller’s Office, evoked the legacy of who was the first Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cuba, Armando Hart Dávalos, a critical and patriotic intellectual, detached from dogmatism, a Marti’s follower by conviction and work – he said – as well as an artist par excellence .
At the site, the José Martí Cultural Society also recognized, in a special way, the performance of the Marti and Fidel followers at the community at the Caribe District during this year, led by the “Amigo Sincero” club of the Territorial Delegation of the Cuban Friendship Institute with the People.
