Guantanamo – The Guantanamo team that takes part in the 63rd National Baseball Series competes this Wednesday against Isla de la Juventud at the Nelson Fernández stadium, in Mayabeque Province, starting at 2:00 in the afternoon.
The Indios del Guaso left this Tuesday morning for Mayabeque, where the National Commission of that sport determined that the match of five games will take place in the western region.
Juan Reynaldo Pérez Pardo, President of the Cuban Baseball Federation explained that the Guantanamo team’s accommodation will be in Havana City.
The sports officials, represented by Richard Cruz Alcedo, Provincial Director of Sports, bid a farewell to the local team that is in the fight to qualify for the postseason.
The team led by Rubén Prevot in the 5 games against Pinar del Río concluded with two victories in its headquarters in the San Justo district. They now accumulates 32 victories and 35 losses for ninth place of the standings.
Isla de la Juventud concluded the subseries against Granma and moves from Bayamo to Mayabeque to face the Guantànamo team.
