Perfecting work methods that allow increasing results in compliance with protecting the political, legal, State and society order as its main mission, was a consensus among the participants in the provincial balance of the Prosecutor’s Office in Guantanamo.

The meeting was chaired by Yoel Pérez García, First Secretary of the Party in the province, Governor Alis Azahares Torreblanca and Alina Montesino Li, Deputy Attorney General of the Republic.

During the exchanges, the progress of the body’s work during 2023 was assessed, in addition to the challenges for the new stage amid current economic limitations.

The completion of the staff of the municipal prosecutor’s offices and professional training, with emphasis on young people who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree and the specialty of intermediate technician in Law, were other topics discussed.

They also spoke out to intensify the core role of that institution in preventing and confronting acts of corruption, crimes, illegalities and social indiscipline and to ensure compliance with laws and legal provisions, by State bodies, entities and the citizens.

In the balance, participants also dealt with the imperative to increase social communication actions to achieve greater legal education in the population; as well as achieving greater links with universities and the introduction of science and innovation in all prosecutorial processes.
