Guantánamo – The first secretary of the Guantánamo Provincial Party Committee, Yoel Pérez García, arrived at the Cuneira People’s Council, in the municipality of El Salvador, this Sunday afternoon. He was accompanied by Governor Alis Azahares Torreblanca and the highest local authorities.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange with the people and learn about the status of basic services provided to its 2,453 inhabitants.

The top political leader of Guantanamo visited the bakery and pastry shop, where he checked that bread is made by hand, as a transformer failure affected the unit’s electricity service. As an alternative, a wood-fired oven is used to guarantee the sale of bread, a gesture gratefully received by the people.

The tour continued to the local Family Medical Clinic, which requires better lighting for patient care.

The top political and government authorities of the province and municipality assessed how the vitality and positive atmosphere in the Cuneira People’s Council, where access roads are blocked due to the effects of hydrometeorological phenomena.
