Guantanamo.- The Guantánamo Provincial Government of People’s Power assesses the work of managers and cadres that are leading the various processes in companies, entities, and organizations in the province, municipalities, and at any level. They must have the capacity to overcome difficulties with new methods, regardless of the current economic contraction and limitations, to advance and develop any activity.

“It’s about doing things differently, taking advantage of untapped potential, and prioritizing the introduction of science and innovation as a pillar of government management, enabling better results and propelling the economic and social development of the territories,” emphasized Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor of Guantánamo, who presided over the meeting along with Zenia Lores Méndez, a member of the Provincial Party Bureau.

The need to increase training for leaders, as well as the training and follow-up work with young people and reserves in workplaces, was discussed at the meeting.

Attention, control, and evaluation of managers and directors at all levels is a priority objective of government management, taking into account ethnic composition and the work and preparation of reserves, young people, and women in leadership positions.

In Guantánamo, there continues to be an increase in the number of vacant leadership positions in different agencies and departments; a problem that affects the optimal functioning of these entities.

After evaluating the comprehensive implementation The system for working with state and government personnel also aimed to ensure, from the ground up, that managers understand their responsibilities and possess the necessary leadership skills.

The provincial personnel review provided an opportunity to recognize the Maisí Administration Council for its achievements during 2025, and to acknowledge the contributions of the University of Guantánamo to the professional development of managers and reserve personnel.
