Guantanamo.- Once again, the people of Guantanamo will be in Plaza Mariana Grajales, that historic place that holds so many essences summarized in the Unity, Resistance, Dignity of a people who, in the face of the most difficult circumstances, maintain faith in the destiny of the Homeland.
There are plenty of reasons to participate in the Anti-Imperialist Tribune this February 26 in defense of peace and in the face of the imperialist onslaught against Cuba and other sister peoples, just when the White House seeks to impose the language of war to resolve conflicts and its unipolar hegemony throughout the world.
Guantanamo’s plaza will bring together this Wednesday workers, students, combatants, members of the Cuban Women Federation and of the Committee for the Defense of Revolution as expression of brotherhood and continuity of a social project that is built for everyone, for us, the true protagonists of so many victories and of the challenges that we have ahead in this effort to defend the work of the Revolution.
With this confidence in the triumph of our ideas, voices will be raised in the Anti-Imperialist Tribune to demand the lifting of the blockade of the United States against Cuba and the exclusion of the Greater Antilles from the spurious list of countries that supposedly support terrorism, when in reality this nation has been the victim of multiple actions of that nature and left a mark of 3,478 dead Cubans, among other consequences.
From this land, the demand for the return of the portion of land illegally occupied by the naval base in Caimanera will also sound loud and clear, which constitutes a violation of national sovereignty and integrity, as well as international law.
The Plaza Mariana Grajales, that emblematic place for the people of Guantanamo, will be the stage to reaffirm the commitment of the people to the Revolution and the defense of its conquests in a complex national economic context and on an international level where coercive measures and genocide are used, and in the midst of all this panorama we remain here with our spirit of resistance and undefeated struggle.
The Anti-Imperialist Tribune that will take place tomorrow in Guantanamo is a worthy tribute to the legacy of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, paradigm of a revolutionary, who instilled in us the strength of Unity to fight all battles ever.
It will be the ideal stage to reaffirm that Cuba will win.
