Guantanamo.- Diversifying salt production and contributing to the economic and social progress of the municipality of Caimanera is the main objective of the project “Development of Dermocosmetic Products,” from Mineral Raw Materials at the Guantanamo Salt Enterprise.
Following certification and approval from the National Office of Natural Resources for its use, the project will also contribute one percent to the local economy, explained the subsidiary’s technical director.
Dermocosmetics is the field that combines the principles of dermatology and cosmetics. The products have in their composition pharmacological active ingredients that penetrate the deeper layers of the skin, acting on the cause of possible skin problems. It arose in response to the growing demand from patients for effective, safe, and daily-use solutions for skin care and treatment.
