Next Sunday, a softball veterans tournament will start, under the name of Rogelio Felix, honoring this outstanding player, who passed away at the beginning of the year.
At the meeting prior to the event, it was also said that a week later, that is, on Sunday, September 8, the activities of the 60’s sub-league will resume, which will be directed by Clinton Mainard.
The matches of this sub-league will begin at 8:30 in the morning, so the players must be on the field at least 15 minutes before.
The aforementioned meeting began with a reminder of the outstanding career of César Pérez, international softball referee of this province, who passed away a few days ago.
ETECSA, as predicted, became champion of the recently concluded 26 de Julio tournament by defeating Jamaicans in the final match, who had just beaten Combinado Avícola Nacional (CAN) and Sepsa by the page system.

By the way, the English-speaking team scored 19 times against the latter team in one inning, and 26 in total, against the pitching of Abel Jones and Ramón Vega. A lesson to put things in their proper place, since SEPSA had beaten Jamaicans on more than one time in the qualifying stage.
