The Cuban music train, Los Van Van, arrived in the Guantanamo Province as part of the 7th Chocolate con Café Festival, and performed in concert at the multifunctional plaza Pedro Agustín Pérez, where the dancers of this city enjoyed of a repertoire that included his greatest musical hits.

The popular Cuban group, led by Samuel Formell, was grateful for the opportunity to meet again with the Guantanamo public, and also recalled the link of the founder of this emblematic orchestra, Juan Formell, with the Cuban easternmost province and its native Changüí rhythm, when performing the favorite version of the song El Guararey by Pastora.

To the beat of songs like Permiso que llegó Van Van; That which goes; Come come come ; My friend; Let’s have a good time, and their traditional Popurrit, the Guantanamo vanvaneros  (Van Van fans) enjoyed the night as part of the artistic program of the Chocolate con Café Festival.

During their massive concert in this eastern city, Los Van Van invited singer-songwriter Waldo Mendoza, founder and honorary president of the festival, to the stage, at which time they expressed their gratitude for the invitation to participate in this cultural event, which takes place in Guantanamo from November 30 to December 4th.

Prior to the Los Van Van’s concert, the multifunctional plaza Pedro Agustín Pérez hosted the gala Amor de Chocolate Pintado con Café,  performed by the announcers Indira Román and Marino Luzardo, and starring the singers Haila María Mompié, Vania Borges, as well as the Spanish singer Pilar Boyero, the Duo Buena Fe and the Baracoa singer-songwriter Orlis Pineda.
