VitalidadGuantanamo.- The analysis of Guantánamo’s economic, social, and operational situation was a key issue this Tuesday at the regular “vitality” meeting, presided over by the highest political and governmental authorities of the territory.

During the meeting the top local authorities of Government and the Party  assessed the progress of the banking process, and in this regard, the issue of late cash deposits in banks. This limits the amount of cash available for timely payments to workers in various sectors, pensioners, and the development of other economic and financial activities in eastern Cuba.

Furthermore, Alis Azahares Torreblanca, the provincial governor, emphasized other issues such as the need to stockpile fluid milk, the delivery of agreed-upon products from the municipalities for the basic food basket, and the distribution of food kits to pregnant women.

The highest political and governmental authorities of Cuba’s easternmost province also called for continued epidemiological surveillance and the strengthening of control measures and efforts to address violations and various manifestations of social indiscipline in the neighborhoods and communities of Guantánamo’s ten municipalities.
