Guantana,o.- Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Guantanamo, and Alis Azahares Torreblanca, Governor at the same level, evaluated together with several directors of State organizations and enterprises the beginning of the process of accountability of the delegate to his electors, which began during pilot assemblies held this Friday, September 20 and will extend until next November 15.

Both leaders appeared this Saturday at 1:30 p.m in the CMKS Radio Station’s news live broadcast Timbre. Azahares Torreblanca, questioned by the renowned journalist Martha Reyes Noa, pointed out that the main concerns of the Guantanamo population will be addressed in the accountability process, and a massive participation of citizens is expected, especially in the accompaniment of the District delegate, in complex circumstances for the Cuban socialist system.

In the popular participation programme, she stressed that the accountability process is taking place so far in positive environments, with a lot of organization and priority of cleaning and beautification work, which allows for a better Cuba from the Guantanamo communities.

Pérez García, the top political leader in the eastern territory, pointed out that the Party, the organized Vanguard of society, will accompany the process in the midst of difficult circumstances from the economic and social point of view for the country.

He specified that for the delegates the accountability process is a stop along the way with the objective of informing the voters about their management, an unusual fact in many parts of the world, which is why it constitutes an act of courage and commitment.

He also explained that the Party and the Government bodies in the province are working to satisfy, as far possible as, the needs of the Guantanamo people, and pointed out the existence of specific situations that have been resolved and others that need to be resolved, which is why there is a work team to resist, advance and take up as an old song says: Cuba Va!
