Guantanamo.- Research work related to educational inclusion, Fidel’s legacy for children, adolescents and young people as well as the formation of a culture of peace, among other topics, have been socialized to date by the delegates of Guantanamo Province at the Pedagogy 2025 International Congress, which is held until February 13 at the Palace of Conventions in Havana.
Likewise, in this 19th edition, the 28 educators from the Cuban Upper East address other presentations related to environmental education for sustainable development, preventive work from early childhood, science and innovation in new contexts, among other issues.
As a novelty of the great event, Guantanamo educators also exchanged with national and foreign delegations the best experiences of rural and technical education, as well as the outstanding results in socio-economic projects such as the development of the project aimed at the production of coconut, coffee and cocoa.
The stand organized by the University of Guantanamo and the Provincial Education Directorate also included delegates from the Dominican Association of Teachers, represented by 85 delegates, who sang together with the delegates the emblematic and popular song known internationally as La Guantanamera.
The delegates to the Pedagogy 2025 International Congress address topics such as cultural decolonization, the Third Improvement of the National Education System, the integral formation of a critical citizen and the preservation of peace, the protection of the environment and cultural colonization.
Pedagogy 2025 brings together delegates from Angola, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, United States, Guatemala, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Dominican Republic, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Russia, Italy, France, Portugal, Serbia, Syria, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela and Cuba.
