Guantanamo residents gathered in the plaza Mariana Grajales Coello on May Day, where the people demand the end of the war and the blockade of the United States against Cuba.

The Guantanamo working class also reaffirms the values and the essence of the history of the Revolution during the commemoration of International Workers’ Day.

This May 1st, the date is marked by a context highlighting the urgency of revitalizing internal economic dynamics and the need to show cohesion, unity, and civic and popular will to defend a model that, according to local authorities, remains a benchmark in the region.

The International Workers’ Day celebrations, as is tradition, extends to all Guantanamo Province; in every locality, events will be held to celebrate the date and recognize outstanding workers and labor collectives.

Here in Guantanamo thousands of workers and their families are summoned to gather in the Plaza Mariana Grajales Coello.
