The Provincial Assembly of the High School Students Federation (FEEM) in Guantanamo became in a created and rich exchange, which was attended by Janny Blanco Gómez, national president of that organization, which emerged on December 6, 1970.

Around a hundred delegates from the ten municipalities of the territory -representing 15,900 students- participated in the meeting where Blanco Gómez recognized the advances in vocational training and professional orientation from the revitalization of this student movement in the educational sector. The organization exhibits among its results the direct granting of 535 pedagogical careers.

It was also important the fact that more than two hundred girls joined the Women’s Military Service, which places Guantanamo as the most prominent province in the country in this indicator, a sign of commitment and love in the defense of the Homeland.
