The Improntus del Cuerpo Interior Space, of the Danza Fragmentada Company, hosted this Thursday, November 23, the opening of the twenty-ninth anniversary festival of the Babul Folkloric Ballet, an emblematic professional dance company in Guantanamo.

Starting at six in the afternoon, the usual artistic space at the Fragmentada’s studio presented  a concert program with recognized choreographies in addition to choreographic studies and improvisations by the dancers of both groups.

The Interior Space shared also the performances of the students of the Alfredo Velázquez Caracesés Professional Dance School, who are completing their intermediate level studies in the aforementioned companies, which constitutes a link in the comprehensive training of the students.

The Danza Fragmentada Company, directed for 30 years by Ladislao Navarro Tomasén, will also accompany the Babul Folkloric Ballet (BFB) in the celebration of its 29 years of creation this Friday the 24th at the Espacio Bajo la Ceiba, in the José Martí Park at 10:00 am and on Sunday 26 at the Guaso Theater, at 8:30 pm.

At the Guaso Theater, the main stage of the city of Guantanamo, the director of BFB, Ernesto Llewllyn de la Era, will be honored for maintaining the vitality of Cuban and Caribbean traditions for almost three decades through the music and dances.
