Guantánamo – The search for alternatives for preparing traditional dishes using local products was a key issue during the analysis of the members of the CNA La Exclusiva Non-Agricultural Cooperative, located in the heart of the municipality of El Salvador, in Guantanamo Province.
Self-management and alliances with other provinces in the country led La Exclusiva to increase earnings, approximately 28,842,000 Cuban pesos in compared to 2024.
The meeting brought together the cooperative’s members, led by its president, Fray Félix Sauborin, who presented a detailed management report.
During the assembly, the entity’s performance was highlighted as an example of economic efficiency within non-state management models in the province.
The discussions focused on meeting production and service targets, as well as on labor and financial discipline—elements that recently rewarded “La Exclusiva” with the Proeza Laboral Flag, given by the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC).
The members discussed the impact of their actions on the social environment. They emphasized the continuation of the support program for vulnerable communities in the municipality of El Salvador, which has made the cooperative a pillar of social assistance.
They ratified the agreements such as the systematic delivery of food to the local nursing home and the Family Support System (SAF), a task that guarantees high-quality nutrition for the most vulnerable sectors of the population.
During the assembly La Exclusiva’s workers also planned immediate future of the organization. The members discussed the need to maintain the affordable pricing policy that has characterized the “La Exclusiva” brand in its lunch and breakfast offerings, an effort aimed at alleviating the daily hardships faced by the population in a context marked by inflationary pressures and resource scarcity affecting the country.
Likewise the most outstanding workers during 2025 were awarded, among them Leonardo Bongo Pérez, Norelkis Sánchez Limonta and Yaneysi Beltrán Martínez who stand out for their contributions to the daily operations of the CNA.
At the close of the meeting, the cooperative members reaffirmed their commitment to continue working as a leading staff, in which responsible economic management and social awareness are duties.
