Since the beginning of its business activities in 2019, Labiofam Guantanamo enterprise has remained faithful to the fulfillment of its essential objective: the production and marketing of medicines for veterinary use, bioproducts, biopesticides and inputs for agriculture, among others.

This 2024, the entity celebrates the fifth anniversary of the beginning of its operations as an enterprise, and as José Luis Rider Cobas, general director, states, its “social mission is not to grow by raising prices, but by producing more. To the extent that it is achieved, the costs will go down and we will have higher income and profits.”

Rider Cobas emphasizes that as a characteristic, Labiofam Guantanamo has its chain or work flow complete: “We research, produce and market our products, and we are now taking steps in the provision of services. We have, for example, an environmental sanitation brigade, which if “In principle it only served state companies, since last year it extended its services to the residential sector.”

He explained that the main goods marketed today are associated with the use of veterinary medicinal product. In that sense, the business group has plants in the country’s capital that produce almost 90 percent of the medicines used in livestock farming in the province, and a veterinary pharmacy in the main municipality, where these products mostly obtained in a natural production process are also sold and others acquired through third parties.
