Guantánamo.- The Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC, in Spanish abbreviation) in Guantánamo calls its members to carry out productive and service program of activities to mark the 71st anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, a date of great national significance.
The labor movement in the territory urges to strengthen the rapprochement between the different actors in the economy and to increase the efficiency of the socialist state company with the aim of creating goods that increasingly satisfy the needs of the population.
On the other hand, the commemoration of July 26 in Guantanamo includes the task of voluntary group to support food production and also the decoration of labor centers as well as the cleaning the work places and surrounding areas.
The connotation of the celebration of July 26th also motivates Guantanamo workers to voluntarily contribute blood donations and part of their salary to contribute to programs to fight cancer and mother and child care.
On occasion of July 26, the CTC in Guantánamo promotes special meetings to highlight the legacy of the assault on Moncada, conversations with combatants and also conceives the delivery of acknowledgement and awards to centers and workers with outstanding performance in their area of action.
In this context, the Third Provincial Workshop “Company of the Heart” also takes place on the 135th anniversary of the arrival of the copies of Magazine La Edad de Oro (The Golden Age) to Cuba through this eastern territory.
