
The Local Industries Enterprise undertakes the repair of the furniture of the Doctor Agostinho Neto General Hospital in Guantanamo, which is damaged in the course of normal use.
According to a survey of the physical state of these objects, a total of 1,400 furniture were classified as in poor condition, including 711 seats, 460 chairs, 80 laboratory benches and the completion of the false ceiling in two rooms.
MSC. Jorge Sierra Aguilar, director of Local Industry Enterprise in the province, reported that the repair of the 48 seats in the worst conditions has begun, which will be ready before the end of June.
The manager commented that they have a schedule to restore the furniture in the shortest possible time, and that they have the necessary resources: paint, sandpaper and various tools.
He assured that “furniture maintenance and repair actions will be accelerated, since delays were pointed out by government and Party authorities when they analyzed the operation of the population’s basic services.
