Guantanamo.- A local severe storm in the municipality of Guantánamo caused damage to the city’s greenery, lightweight roofs, telephone and electrical networks, as well as some landslides resulting from the fallen trees.
In light of this situation, territorial authorities toured the most affected areas due to heavy and locally intense rainfall, accompanied by winds and electrical discharges.
In this regard, the first secretary of the Party in the province, Yoel Perez García, indicated the formation of evaluation committees to assess the damage caused. So far, no injuries or fatalities have been reported.
