Guantánamo.-The residents of Maisí, in the easternmost end of Cuba, will celebrate next Wednesday, July 24, the provincial event for the 71st anniversary of the assaults on the barracks Moncada, in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, in Bayamo, headquarters conquered by stability in the fulfillment of the main economic, political and social tasks, and the sustained increase in production and services.

According to the program, the commemoration will begin at 7:30 in the morning in the Plaza de La Maquina, chieftown of the municipality, where hundreds of people will gather early in the morning and the entities and organizations for whose outstanding results the territory obtained the venue of the event for the Day of National Rebellion.

After the political-cultural celebration, in which provincial entities and organizations and athletes from the territory will also be awarded, new buildings such as the El Bosque complex, a settlement in La Maquina, a primary school, a nursing home, a lodging house; the Veguitas aqueduct and a production center for ceramic elements for housing will be opened.

The night previous to the event on Tuesday 23rd, they will present an artistic gala with provincial and local artists, and the Comprehensive Mountain Artistic Ensemble. The activities close on the 24th with popular festivals in the municipality dedicated to July 26.

The environment on the celebration of July 26th in Maisí promotes refurbishment actions enhancing the image of the municipality with painting of buildings, patching of the Cajobabo-La Maquina road, and the repair of the family doctor’s offices.
