Guantánamo.- Guantánamo is a place where being Cuban means carrying a piece of the island in your heart. Loving our homeland feels like your heart beats to the rhythm of its music, and hope grows even in the hardest times. Every farewell hides a promise of “see you later,” because Cuba always calls us back.

It is about sharing the warmth of our culture, the strength of our people, and the dreams that connect us, no matter where we are. The spirit of Cuba lives on in those who cherish its beauty and resilience, making it a part of who we are, no matter the distance.

This morning, a large group of workers from the sports, science, and education labor movements gather at the Plaza de la Revolución Mariana Grajales in Guantánamo. It looked like a big red wave as they marched together, showing their strength and support for each other.
As all Guantánamo people, they were standing up against the increasing threats from the United States towards Cuba. It was inspiring to witness their unity and determination to protect what they believe in. Their strong presence reminded of how important it is to stand together in tough times.

The people of Guantanamo are once again showing their strong support for Cuba’s independence during the Anti-Imperialist event at Plaza Mariana Grajales Coello, in a land where the US. maintained against the will of the Cuban people Naval Base and has been turned into a detention facility.
This gathering highlights the people commitment to protecting their country’s sovereignty. The radio family from the provincial station CMKS is also joining in, expressing their agreement and support for the defense of their homeland. Together, they are standing up for what they believe in, demonstrating a united front in the fight for their national pride and freedom.
