Guantanamo – A new maternity benefit for working women came into effect in the country this May 28th. The Decree-Law 84/2024, published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette number 36 of the Republic of Cuba extends the period for the enjoyment of the social benefit up to 15 months of the child’s life.
Ritzel Mustelier Ramirez, deputy director of the Provincial Directorate of Labor and Social Security in Guantanamo, said that six articles of the previous regulation were modified.
