Meeting of women producers will be held in Guantanamo provinceGuantanamo.-Women producers from different municipalities of Guantanamo will exchange their experiences in meetings that will begin on July 13th in Niceto Perez municipality, which will allow them to socialize the good practices of work in the field in order to promote food production.
In this way, it will contribute to the generalization of the women´s work, who contribute to the Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture Program with the promotion of patios, plots, gardens and other available spaces from their own homes.
Adilis Torres Hernandez, member of the provincial secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women(FMC), said that in the meetings of women producers there will also be the delivery of land in usufruct, a process that responds to the agreements of the XI Congress of the women’s organization held this year.
The female leader also stressed that the FMC-ANAP Brigades in the municipalities linked to the planting and harvesting of various crops are contributing to food production, in addition to the contribution to the coffee and sugarcane conflicts.

Adilis Torres Hernandez, member of the provincial secretariat of the FMC, stressed that with the meetings between producers that begin on July 13th, female empowerment is promoted, one of the guidelines of the National Program for the Advancement of Women. She stressed that the initiative will show the well-being of women producers and the impact of their work on the economy of their localities, where they take advantage of equal rights and opportunities.
