Guantanamo.- The crystal-clear waters of the mighty Toa River and the lush forest distinguish “La Curva del Aguacate,” one of the most attractive areas for Summer 2025 in the Guantanamo municipality of Yateras.

This site, located in the La Alegría community in that territory, is being recovered for this purpose, thanks to the initiatives of its residents and the intervention of the Ernesto Guevara center’s workers, mostly young people, as well as the contributions of farmers associated with local agricultural cooperatives, who cleaned and beautified the surroundings.

“La Curva del Aguacate” stands out for the construction of a viewing platform that recreates the view for visitors, as well as areas designated for dancing, sports, and healthy entertainment. In addition, the services provided by economic actors who are responsible for marketing gastronomic products and traditional fruits at rustic kiosks built with bamboo and guano.

During the months of July and August, the hottest of the current summer season identified with the slogan “Siempre Joven,” the municipality of Yateras becomes a must-see for its natural beauty and other attractions in the more than thirty areas aimed at healthy family recreation, especially for the youngest members of the family, to whom the summer of 2025 is dedicated.
