Several national and foreign businessmen, and representatives of food marketing entities, Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) (and other economic actors, showed interest in the exportable products exhibited by the Guantanamo Province in the 39th Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2023).
The eastern territory participates in the largest promotion, marketing and business event in the country, with a representation of the 19 foreign investment projects approved in the territory and leading exportable products such as different varieties of organic coffee, and cocoa and coconut by-products.
René Capote, Commercial Advisor in Spain of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, in dialogue with the representatives of the province’s stand, pointed out the importance of the participation of the Cuban provinces in FIHAV 2023 as a way to “expose the world and companies of the country the export potential of each territory.
Regarding the products, he pointed out that “today, products that are obtained organically, such as different types of coffee, those byproducts from cocoa and coconut, and the use of its substrate and fiber in agriculture and industry, are in high demand of the furniture, respectively.”
Based at the Expocuba FIHAV 2023 fairgrounds, its current edition shows the participation of 60 countries and 800 national and foreign companies.
