Guantánamo – A delegation from the Great Indo-Cuban Family, headed by Idalis Ramírez, daughter of Chief Francisco Ramírez Rojas (Panchito), participates in the The 6th International Colloquium of Studies on Native Cultures of the Americas, which takes place at the Casa de las Américas, in Havana, until October 18.

The event, under the theme “Counter-hegemonic alternatives from sciences and native knowledge”, will also feature the leaders of the Gabriel Rojas Pérez and Mariulki Soler Ramírez, from native families of Yateras Municipality, along with the Historian of the Baracoa City, Alejandro Hartman Matos.

This Colloquium also includes the presentation of the book Los Héroes del Regimiento Hatuey, by the author Mario Picallo and other studies on the values ​​and knowledge treasured by Indo-Cuban families in the eastern mountains.
