Gente Nueva, El Mar y la Montaña, among other publishing houses, brought to light this year new titles with the authorship of Eldis Baratute, Retoño de almendro, Vampiros con tatuales raros, El vendedor de risas and Del Naranjo al Azahar, the latter along with Jose Raul Fraguela, while the Book Monteserín, winner of the 2012 Celestino Short Story Award, will present the anthology of fiction entitled Enciclopedia del Diablo.

Baratute, winner of Calendario, La Rosa Blanca and the Golden Age Awards, has more than a dozen books for children and adolescents including Cuentos para dormir a María Cristina, Los gnomos están tristes, Maritéy la Hormiga Loca, and A la sombra de un león, about interesting topics rarely dealt in children's literature.
Both artists are members of the Saiz Brothers´ Association and dedicate their publications to the thirtieth anniversary of that organization, the four decades of the Protest Song Festival, held from August 1rst through 4 and the centenary of the birth of Santiago de Cuba novelist Jose Soler Puig.
Last February these Guantanamo young narrators participated in the Book Fair in Havana, where they unveiled their proposals and will be in contact with readers of the eastern territory in April.
