Some 1500 self-employed workers from Guantanamo province have received training on the new legal provisions for the improvement of this type of employment, which will take effect next December 7.
In these meetings the entrepreneurs get a copy of the Official Gazette number 35 extraordinary, they know of the modifications for the exercise of the different activities, besides share their opinions and set out their doubts that are clarified and collected by the experts in view of future regulations.
Organized by neighborhoods, the seminars began on August 14 in the municipalities of the province, with the exception of Yateras and the provincial capital, where the next start is planned with the aim of training all of the 14,700 Guantanamo self-employed
Mariano A. Diéguez Torreguitart, deputy director of the Provincial Directorate of Labor, explained that the meetings are chaired by a multidisciplinary group of experts from the Ministry of Labor, Hygiene, Physical Planning, the Tax Administration Office and State agencies with influence on some activities .
In Guantanamo, Baracoa and El Salvador, territories with the highest concentration of entrepreneurs, the training will end on October 15 and in the 30 days following resume the training with self-employed who for some reason did not attend the seminars.
As a preamble to the current process, more than a thousand officials, technicians and specialists received a provincial seminar that was socialized in the municipalities, with the aim of training those who offer training to the self-employed.
Mariano Diéguez Torreguitart, deputy director of the Provincial Labor Directorate, underscored the desire to consolidate in Guantánamo and the rest of the country self-employment that made possible the creation of more than 11 thousand jobs and represents 9 percent of employees from the province.
