The Guantanamo Province now has 50 WiFi navigation areas, which allow greater access to navigation on the Cuba Network and the Internet, an expression of the country's willingness to continue advancing in the process of computerizing society.
Distributed in all the municipalities, 31 of these are located in public places and 19 indoor places, especially in the Baracoa Municipality, where the most sought-after tourist facilities are located.
Currently, each user can connect at speeds of up to two megabits, which facilitates the use of Nauta accounts and other applications that provide video calls, access to social networks, among other benefits.
In addition, in response to the computerization program and customer demands, in Guantanamo there are 13 ETECSA navigation rooms, in addition to another 18, which are located in hotel and extra-hotel facilities.
In this sense, the opening of other WiFi navigation areas in health centers is projected and will be increased in the Community Computing and Electronics Club, depending on the availability of technological equipment by these entities.
