Like hundreds of thousands of Guantanamo and Cubans, the workers of the Parliament system in Guantanamo join with their signs to the freedom claim of the former Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, unjustly imprisoned for more than 18 months.
In the Art Gallery of the headquarters of the Provincial Assembly of the People’s Power, one of the acts of signatures took place, which was attended by the employees and authorities of the highest government body and its Board of Directors.
The support of the workers for the liberation of Lula is also carried out in the ten municipal Assemblies of the Guantanamo Parliament and its dependencies, a process that joins to the international campaign for the release of the Brazilian leader's prison and will take place in the workplaces and schools until next October 28.
After the call of the Cuban Institute of Friendship (ICAP), the collective forms signed throughout the country will be delivered to the Brazilian delegation that will attend the Anti-Imperialist Solidarity Meeting, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, convened from November 1st to 3thd in Havana, as a sign of the support of the Cuban people for the just cause.
