The visit began at the Mariana Grajales Square where visitors admired the majesty of the sculptural complex paying tribute to the mother of Los Maceo and in the Historic Center they exchanged with leaders of the province regarding facilities of the Local Development Program as the Primada cafeteria, 1870 Restaurant, Hotel Brazil and the Boulevard area.
Sharing with members of the Municipal Assembly of the People´s Power, Gilberto Garcia Alonso, advisor to the State Security after the triumph of the Revolution, highlighted how the city was transformed in recent years to raise the Guantanamo residents´ sense of belonging and the quality of life.
Ernesto Gonzalez Campos, member of the Generation of the Centenary, said that the greatest challenge of our time is that younger people would appreciate the work of the Revolution as builders of every social project.
The fighters of the Moncada Garrison and the Granma expedition will continue with their visit to this southeastern province until June 17 and will also exchange with residents of various municipalities and workers of socioeconomic and historical centers.
