Complying with the provisions of Article of Law 138 of Organization and Functioning of the Provincial Government of People's Power, Emilio Matos Mosqueda, Governor of Guantanamo calls for the Provincial Council to be held on Tuesday, May 25 at 9:00 am at the headquarters of the government.
The great challenges that the Homeland is experiencing, in this digital age and of interconnections and media manipulations, facing an escalation of Yankee blockade that suffocates our economy, and the scourge of a pandemic such as Covid 19, with more than a year of confrontation, impose great challenges to the Cuban trade union movement, and a growing improvement of labor leaders at all levels of management. This was the consensus at the conference of the Public Administration Workers' Union (SNTAP) in Guantanamo.
“Today more than ever it is vital the political and ideological preparation of those who have management responsibilities at any level, a better professional performance of their functions, tempering themselves with current conditions, and to all this add a high dose of sensitivity to the problems of the population,” Emilio Matos Mosqueda, Governor of Guantanamo expressed in a recent meeting with leaders, young people and reserves of the provincial Government of People's Power.
Cleaning and maintenance of the territorial headquarters and the facilities of the cooperatives, fulfillment of productive goals, actions to promote crops and the recognition of the most outstanding workers are part of the tasks that the Guantanamo farmers carry out to celebrate this May 17, a date that in this 2021 they celebrate it in special conditions for their contribution and own efforts to face and defeat the pandemic.
To take to extreme vigilance in the controls of outbreaks and to increase the execution of health protocols in order to definitively cut the transmission of Covid-19, Rafael Pérez Fernández, president of the Provincial Defense Council in Guantanamo, called in his most recent meeting.
