Seven cooperatives in Guantanamo benefited from the installation of agrometeorological posts, as part of the RedAR project, aimed at improving climate monitoring at the local level, to increase the efficiency of agricultural activity.

The efficient, rational and productive use of fresh water, the full capacity utilization of the existing infrastructure in the province created by the Revolution, the management of risks associated with the quality of the vital liquid and those associated with extreme weather events, are the most important tasks carried out by  workers of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH) in the Guantánamo Province, in the effort to achieve the objectives set by the sector as part of the strategies to boost the economy and for economic and social development until 2030.
