Passenger transportation guaranteed in Guantanamo during the summer season

Guantanamo.- In response to growing user demand and the need to optimize service, the authorities of the Caimanera Transportation Business Unit announce adjustments to passenger transportation on the Caimanera-Guantánamo route.

Cristina Casayamor Quintana, director of the sector, explained that the measure aims to improve the frequency and quality of service, which also includes an adjustment to the ferry service for maritime transportation to the settlement of Mártires de la Frontera, popularly known as Boquerón.

She also reported that the Caimanera-Guantánamo route now starts running at 8:00 p.m. departure from the municipal capital, the general hospital, and the Guantánamo bus station, returning to Caimanera around 9:30 p.m.

Regarding maritime transportation, three trips will be maintained from Monday to Saturday, departing from Caimanera at 6:50 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. On Sundays, only the 6:50 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. trips will be made. “These trips are in conjunction with the Guantánamo-Boquerón bus, so that passengers can travel to their destination Caimanera,” Casamayor Quintana noted.

The route to the settlement of Hatibonico remains and it runs from Monday through Friday with two trips: 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., departing from the municipal chief town.

These changes are part of an effort to improve the quality of public transportation for the residents of Caimanera. Passengers are advised to stay tuned to official information that will be disseminated through the press and social media, where specific schedules and any other updates related to adjustments on municipal routes will be detailed
