Guantánamo – As every year, the celebration on May Day will become a spectacle of Cuban traditions and love, full of fantasies and attractive initiatives to make the pioneers look even more beautiful. The children will be the vanguard of the International Workers’ Day parade in the municipality of Yateras, declared Reidis Favier Londres, General Secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Confederation in that mountainous town.

The union leader also added that the pioneers, who will form this special bloc will be accompanied by the territory’s main political, government, and labor leaders, among other local figures.

Favier Londres added that various educational institutions are organizing all possible initiatives in the Palenque district, where the pioneers will become, he said, Martí, Fidel, Lázaro Peña, Jesús Menéndez, and other leaders remembered every day in Cuba.

The special bloc comprised of pioneers that will open the International Workers’ Day parade in the municipality of Yateras will be followed by the Victory bloc, followed by the Unity bloc, then the Dignity bloc, then the Continuity bloc, and finally the Commitment bloc, all identified by the colors of the Cuban flag and the initiatives of each union, stated Favier Londres, general secretary of the Workers’ Central in the territory.
