The president of the Cuban Sports Institute, (INDER) Osvaldo Vento Montiller headed a delegation visiting places of interest for the sports sector in Guantanamo, with the aim of evaluating the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.
In a meeting at the Rafael Freyre Torres Sports School (EIDE), accompanied by other sports and the Communist Party authorities, Vento addressed issues such as the search for new strategies for education that enable the whole students´ formation.
He stressed the importance of communication, computerization, science and innovation as the fundamental pillars for the government.
There, the sports authority emphasized in the need to continue students´ and teachers´ improvement, alluding to the role that technology plays in sports and how, despite the financial limitations that the country presents, they continue to work and look for alternatives to achieve better results.
Visitors appreciated the conditions of the children’s house located inside the educational center from which the working mothers of the institution benefit and the state of construction of the school facilities.
In Caimanera, the head of the Cuban sports organization spoke with the main authorities of the government and sports in that territory about the implementation of baseball, soccer and chess strategies and valued the actions carried out during 2023 Summer time.
