Guantánamo – A dozen works based on environmental concern will be presented at the provincial ECOJOVEN event, which will take place next Saturday, September 21, in the Yateras Municipality, in Guantanamo Province.

Gretter Guerra López de Queralta, Coordinator of the Cuban Environmental Youth Network in this eastern territory, highlighted the quality of the research aimed at the socioeconomic development to boost environmentally friendly practices.

Among the works that will be presented at the ECOJOVEN event are extracurricular activities for the treatment of community environmental education, in addition to proposals for actions for the management of flora, such as the Magnolia Minor species in low-altitude rainforest, among others.

Guerra López de Queralta highlighted the significance of ECOJOVEN event, one of the nation’s proposals to address climate change and its negative impact on the economy and the lives of the local inhabitants.

This event is promoted by the Youth Technical Brigades, with the objective of raising the environmental culture of children, adolescents and young people.
