The highest party and government authorities in Guantánamo province reviewed pending solutions this Wednesday to ensure the water supply in the community of Boca de Jauco, in the municipality of Maisí and the distribution of wheat flour for making rationed bread in La Caridad de Los Indios, in the municipality of Manuel Tames, and other similar situations.
In the daily Vitality meeting, which analyzes the economic, social, and operational situation in the territory via audio conference with all municipalities, the participating decision-makers also evaluated the necessary epidemiological surveillance and ensuring service for patients in need of hemodialysis.
During the meeting, they also analyzed the infant mortality rate, the care provided to women at risk during pregnancy, and the availability of fuel in hospitals in Guantánamo and Baracoa in the coming days.
Regarding the power outages, prolonged disruptions were reported in the circuits of the municipalities of El Salvador, Imías, and Maisí, in addition to transformer damage in neighborhoods in the central and northern areas of the provincial capital.
