Promoting proper use of the network of networks and using the benefits of electronic procedures and trading through digital platforms were the focus of the Guantanamo Tecnocafé event, as part of the celebration this February 6 for the International Safe Internet Day.
Sponsored by the Cuban Association of Computer Specialists in this province, the meeting brought together personnel from the Territorial Branch of the Telecommunications Company (ETECSA), XETID, the Credits Bank (BANDEC), the Computer Community Clubs, the Cuban Association
of Social Communicators in the province, among other actors, who exchanged with the public regarding reliable practices for the use of the Internet and its possibilities.
Since 2004, the International Safe Internet Day has been celebrated on February 6 with the purpose of promoting the proper use of its many advantages such as the possibility of interaction through social networks, while avoiding cyberbullying and protecting personal data.
More than one hundred countries celebrate this date, whose main objective is to raise awareness of the importance of making the Internet a safer digital platform.
