Once again, the city of Guantanamo will be filled with the contagious cultural aroma that the Chocolate con Cafe Festival gives us every year, to be held from November 30 to December 4 this year, days in which the Second BIOCUBA Business and Trade Fair will also take place.

The Provincial Deputy Governor Carlos Raúl Martínez Turro and the well known singer Waldo Mendonza, founder and Honorary President of the event, specified the details of both events.

“Despite the current limitations, the seventh issue of Chocolate con Cafe will take place, because of the passion that is put into its realization and because the people love it, and we owe it to them,” said Waldo Mendoza at the meeting where the highest authorities governments of the Guantánamo municipality and representatives of different organizations involved in the realization of the Festival also participated.

This year the Chocolate con Cafe festival is dedicated to the 153rd anniversary of the granting of the Title of Villa to Guantanamo, to the 20 years of the Italian Lavazza foundation, dedicated to projects that help coffee producers, to the two decades of artistic life of the singer-songwriter Waldo Mendoza as well as the agroforestry woman.

This time, the presence of prominent artists such as the Guantanamo duo Buena Fé, JG and his group, Elaín Morales, Vania Borges, Eduardo Sosa, Candido Fabré and his band and the Original from Manzanillo are expected.

As part of the Festival, the Second “BIOCUBA” Business Fair will be held, an event that, based at the Guantanamo hotel and with the participation of local companies and from other regions of the country, aims to become the most important commercial exchange for BIO Biorganic products in Cuba and the Caribbean, and one of the most attractive and representative in Latin America.

Bio products are those obtained naturally, without the use of chemicals, pesticides or fertilizers, that´s why they have greater environmental benefits and great demand and higher prices in the international market.
