Guantánamo.- The 12th Softball Friendship Cup for people over 50 years old will be held in Guantanamo from December 5 to 8.
So far, one team from Havana, another from Santiago de Cuba, two from Holguín and three from the host province, Etecsa, Jamaicanos and Vitilla, have been confirmed.
The official venue will be the Plaza sports complex in the Caribe neighborhood, although it is intended to hold a match in Yateras and another on the Vitilla field in the south of the town on the Guaso River, says Rolando Cervera Rigual, the main organizer of the event and Provincial Coordinator of the sports clubs movement in the territory.
The three teams from the host province emerge from the Luminarias del Guaso League, which operates all year round with the purpose of using free time in a healthy activity such as sport.
