Guantanamo.-Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba announced from his account on X, that he requested Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, together with directors of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, for an appearance indicated to inform the people on the energy emergency situation that the country is going through today at 8:30 pm.
«The complex scenario we are going through is caused by the intensification of the economic war and financial and energy seize of the United States, which makes it difficult to import fuel and other resources necessary for that industry,» said the Cuban president.
