We live in difficult times, but there is not a minute in which we do not think and fight to move forward. It is not about a quixotic work against the windmills, but about the conviction of the Revolution to win.
That battle is to be at the side of those who produce from the land; those who are in the industry in search of a solution, or in scientific research, whether from the universities or from a production center.
Yesterday, in the mountains of Yateras, and in San Luis, the Cuban President talked with the inhabitants, explained the situation of the country, learned, as he has said on other occasions, from the experiences of men and women who do not wait for the blockade to fall or for a shipload of raw materials to come, to create and win.
That is what he called, there, a people stripped of defeatism.
On the same day, another dialogue, like the one we all have at home, on the subject of the annoying blackouts, took place in the podcast Desde la Presidencia, which is as if the President were sitting in our living room with his guests. They talked about one of the most pressing problems of the country: the difficulties of the National Electric System.
The Prime Minister was in Mayabeque, in similar exchanges, about what science can contribute to the solution of the main problems of the nation’s life.
We may not have enough electricity now, but Cuba is a source of energy; for the firmness, for the way in which the country’s leadership encourages the people to participate in the defense and construction of the socialism to which we aspire.
