Guantánamo.- Ten new electric tricycles are operating from this Friday on the 24 de Febrero Park-Obrero neighborhood route and the Ahogados and 16 Sur routes-Martí Park, in the city of Guantánamo, to meet the high demand for transportation between the historic center and the aforementioned outskitrs neighborhoods in the provincial capital.
The tricycles have a capacity for six people each and are expected to provide more than a dozen round-trip trips daily.
The new route has parking spaces located in front of the old Plaza de Armas in Villa del Río Guaso and the Pharmacy in Obrero neighborhood.
In the case of the Obrero neighborhood,the starting of the new tricycles took place in the framework of the 49th anniversary of its founding, in response to a long-standing request from the population.
