The 3rd the Meeting of Young Radialists Punto Cero begins today in Guantanamo

Guantanamo.- From today June 24th to 27th, Guantanano will host the third edition of the Punto Cero Young Radio Broadcasters Meeting, an event that is dedicated to the celebrations for the 87th anniversary of the CMKS Radio Station. It is sponsored by the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS) and the Provincial Directorates of Radio and Culture in the territory.

This edition of the event, whose main theme is the radio made by its audiences, is also dedicated to the 20 years of the foundation of the La Voz del Sol Radio Station, in Maisi Municipality, and to the experienced journalist, broadcaster and radio teacher Martha Reyes Noa. The event includes in its program conferences, discussions, tours to historical sites and intergenerational meetings.

 

 

The program Dimension of the CMKS Radio Station, which is aimed at youth, will live broadcast from the communities of the municipalities Maisí and Baracoa, as well as the exchange with filmmakers from the radio staffs of both territories are also part of the activities of the event. There will be also a space to praise and evoke the Jose Marti’s thoughts.

The jury of the event, chaired by the teacher Martha Reyes Noa, together with the experienced director Ramon Gonzalez Mendez and the young creators Dayana Mesa Giralt, Arletty Leyva Cordovi and Yosvanis Acuña Montero, will evaluate the works sent to the contest in this edition. The event also promotes the creation and recording of a new radio program for the children and adolescents of the territory.

The awards ceremony of the Punto Cero Young Radio Broadcasters Meeting will take place at the La Guantanamera Cultural Center, of the Artex agency, coinciding with the commemoration of the 87th anniversary of the founding of the CMKS Station, to be held on June 27.
