Guantánamo – Some fifteen assemblies of the first process of accountability of the delegate to his constituents have been held to date in the Yateras Municipality, out of 135 planned until November 10, corresponding to the eighteenth term of office.
These town meetings were attended by 86 percent of the voters summoned, a sign of the majority support for the Cuban political system and this form of Government that is moving forward the debate and seeking solutions within the communities.
Ten of the 18 proposals made in the assemblies are resolved in the community with the participation of all, once again demonstrating the participatory democracy, discipline and unity of the Yateras people in order to solve problems.
At the meetings, the voters referred to dissatisfaction related to the stability in the distribution of medicines, the permanence of the doctor in the offices, and other matters that with the participation of all can contribute to having a better community. They also can improve the conditions of caneyes, the saving of water and the repair of local roads.
The new democratic exercise that is taking place in the Yateras Municipality is also distinguished by the participation of local and provincial authorities of the Party, the Government and administrators.
