Guantánamo – Solidarity travels to Guantánamo from all points of the archipelago, a gesture of kindness and humanism recognized by Juana Eglis Fernández Louit, general secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Union in this eastern province affected by Hurricane Oscar in recent days.
The union leader highlights the collection of necessary items for the victims to help alleviate the terrible effects of the floods caused by the heavy rains.
Fernández Louit also thanks the members of the 15 unions in this territory and other people of good will, who donated clothing, wearing shoes, food, toilet kits and other supplies in a show of sharing what they have with the people in need.
On the other hand, the contribution extends to the bank accounts intended to receive monetary donations and in this way support the recovery in the areas affected by the passage of Oscar.
