Guantanamo.- With significant contributions from research in the macro programs of science, services and projects that support the socioeconomic development of the province, the Mountain Development Center (CDM), in Guantánamo, will celebrate its 31st anniversary on February 3.
Due to its notable work, the group received several recognitions in 2024 such as the 85th Anniversary Flag of the CTC and the status of National Vanguard, in addition to the acknowledgment during the day dedicated to the 30 years of this institution, the only one of its kind in the country.
During 2024 and to date, work continues on the project related to scorpion venom, which aims to validate the beneficial effects on human health for its export as a raw material, in addition to efforts to create a drug of its own.
