Guantanamo.- Messages of congratulations to the locals from Guantanamo were sent by Yoel Perez, the First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) in the easternmost province of Cuba, and Governor Alis Azahares, on the occasion of the new year and the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
Both leaders recognized the strength of the men and women of this territory, who are determined to forge a better future day by day at the time they urged to work together from the first day of 2024 to advance in the economic and social development of Guantanamo and increase the quality of life of the population.
They also pointed out that the coming year will be challenging with many goals in order to promote the territorial development, the strengthening and efficiency of the business system and greater coordination between the economic actors of the state and non-state sectors.
They also highlighted among the priorities the increase of agricultural productions and food industry offers, the fulfillment of the housing program and a greater production of local construction materials, as well as to grow in the economy indicators with the fulfillment of the physical productions to achieve greater control of the price policy and to mitigate inflation as issues that propel a greater satisfaction to the inhabitants of Guantanamo.
